1. Sinéad O'Connor

At the beginning of 1992, Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor was living the most successful moment of her career, all thanks to the song that Prince had written: Nothing Compares 2 U.

However, she was the protagonist of one of the most controversial moments in the history of the music industry. It all started when she was invited to Saturday Night Live with host Tim Robbins. Everyone expected her to sing one of her greatest hits, but that was not the case. Sinéad wanted to sing a version of the song "War" originally by Bob Marley.

But what no one knew was that she changed the lyrics in some parts referring to sensitive topics such as racism and sexual abuse. Once the performance was over, she tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II.

Of course, the criticism from the public at the time was negative, and many viewers said they did not agree with those statements. From that moment on, O'Connor's musical career went downhill, and that's how it all ended when she was only 26 years old.

Once she achieved success, she was the queen of the hippie movement and an inspiration to millions of people.

She was only 27 years old when her musical career and her life ended suddenly, which was a pity as she still had a lot of music to make.
